"In the summer of 2006, I made a commitment to myself to make a lifestyle change. I wanted to get fit and to look better. But most importantly, I wanted to be healthy.  I have dieted in the past but it has never lasted.  I needed it to be different this time. After losing 30 pounds by altering my eating habits and getting in an occasional cardio workout, I knew to have continued and long-term success, I'd need to make good choices when it came to exercise.

I was willing to work hard but I wasn't willing to do or start something that I couldn't do for the rest of my life.  This was, after all, a lifestyle change I was making.  I made a commitment to exercising 5 days a week.  I started with an elliptical machine, step aerobics and walking. After doing a little bit of research, I learned that adding strength training to my routine would make the biggest difference in my overall fitness level and in how I looked and felt. It was a great plan but I had no idea where to start.

I came to Premier Fitness Studio looking for a coach. Someone to provide instruction and guidance. What I found was a welcoming and fun studio; supportive, knowledgeable and inspiring team members; and a safe and encouraging place to begin something new. One year and an additional 65 pounds later, I still look forward to coming to Premier.

"Prior to starting personal training at Premier Fitness Studio, I made little time to exercise given numerous demands on my time. Additionally, I had never really been an "athletic type", and was never comfortable working out in large health clubs. I found that experience to be intimidating and would never stick with anything for more than a month or so. As my job became more stressful and I knew I needed to take better care of myself, I started shopping for a trainer in town.  I visited every health club and studio!  I met Nathan at Premier, and within 10 minutes I knew I found the perfect trainer and studio.

A year later now, I am hooked!  I train 3 times per week doing core strength exercises, 5 days a week on my treadmill, and my nutrition has never been better.  Most importantly, I feel great, job stress is more easily managed and I am no longer intimidated by any kind of exercise.  Developing trust with my trainer was crucial for me--Nathan helped develop my confidence that I not only could do it but do it well!  If I can do it, anyone can.
